I knew none of your countrymen, the air line passangers and crew, none of the WTC workers, police, fireman or chaplins whose lives were taken so visciously that clear September morning. I lit a candle for them at your Embassy here and cried like I'd lost a brother - because I had. As an Australian I don't think that I have ever been prouder of the way the world has embraced America and each other. Whilst hatred, and evil brought sadness, grief and horror to the world, with it came a special bond. A bond of love, hope and strength that can never be broken. I would just like to say that I'm very sorry that this happend, and that my heart goes out to everyone that has lost someone in this horrible tradgiy. I would also send my condolences to all the heros in New York, and to all that lost their lives.

I didn't know anyone in the WTC buildings and I didn't know anyone in the Pentagon or on the flight that crashed in Pennsylvania, however this event has deeply saddened me.
I can't even begin to imagine the sadness that one day has brought to all of you, but I know that I have been forever affected by it. As time goes by and days now turn to months since this has happened the focus now turns to righting the wrong and finding the people who are responsible for this horrible act. But I can't help but think of all the victims still, the children who lost one or both of their parents, or parents who lost their children. Even with all the support in the world the sadness remains in your hearts and mine. Chirstmas is supposed to be filled with happiness but this year it is changed, much like everything now. I want all of New York, and all of the victims everywhere to know that you are with me all the time. A day does not go by without my thoughts drifting back to you. I hope that you know that where ever your loved ones have gone, they are in a better place and even though you can't see them they are right beside you.
Don't give in and let the bad people in this world win, rise above no matter how hard it is to do, please try to go on and never let go of you beliefs and your truths.
God Bless You All, and for whatever it's worth please have a Merry Christmas and may God bring us all Peace in the New Year.

I can't begin to know what you are feeling, the loss of your loved one. But whatever the reason I hope it gives you comfort that they went down fighting and died as heroes to save themselves and others. I will never forget them as long as I live. I was sitting in my second period study hall at school when all the teachers brought out tv's as we watched in horror as the story unfolded. A plane had crashed into the world trade center. We were confused and thought that it was a n accident, until aseconf plane hit and another at the pentagon. My condolences go out to all the families and anyone affected by the events. I was in Florence, Italy with my husband and our 1 year old daughter. My skin went cold and I could not fathom the terror I was watching.
We had a United flight a week later and all I kept thinking about during the 9 hour flight to Dulles was that my life is no more valuable than those of the victims. It could have just as easily been me, my husband and our baby girl.
I pray for the victims. We cannot let their deaths be in vain.
